About Us

ANDREW BRAMLEY
Andrew Bramley. 25, is a store manager for Peets Coffee & Tea as well as president of Meant4More Apparel. His goal is to develop the company to the extent he will be able to devote himself to it full-time and spread the word that M4M’s meaning is more than just manufacturing and selling clothes.

Before CEO Primo Martinez approached him with the company idea, Bramley was working at the coffee shop but didn’t feel inspired in his career. He yearned to get in on the ground floor of a startup company and a new world opened for him up as soon as he and Martinez discussed their ideas.

People get caught up in the day-to-day of their lives and forget to stop and think about their gifts and what makes them special or different, he says. Maybe they just don’t believe they can contribute. But every person needs a reminder at some point that they are here for a reason, Bramley says.

Meant4More’s simple message is one that anyone of any background can embrace. And if the company is successful it will donate larger amounts of money to various causes and have the opportunity to touch people’s lives in untold ways.

Bramley hopes to expand the brand to other outlets in the apparel industry to further awareness and help spread the message. Meant4More has the potential to reach people at all stages of life whether religious, atheist, young, old, poor or rich, he says: “We have seen people from all walks of life be touched by our simple message and they have then been inspired to do something great.”

MIKE GUMM
Entrepreneur investor Mike Gumm, 36, says he fell instantly in love with the name M4M because it not only reminded him of struggles of getting a company started, it expresses the satisfaction of achievement and instant gratification in those few simple words.

A longtime friend of CEO Primo Martinez, Gumm, the company’s investor, is a laid-back T-shirt and shorts kind of guy who consults on real estate, educational healthcare, finance, and small business development. He values family and friends and enjoys stimulating conversations, food, and gourmet beer at The Copper Door in Santa Ana, Calif. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminology, with a minor concentration in sociology, from Drury College, in Springfield, MO.

Gumm believes that life is what you make of it. He urges others to seize opportunities, use the freewill they were born with, and work to make the best out of the hand life deals them. The M4M message is a source of inspiration and support to those who need it, he says, whether it’s physical, mental, emotional, or financial – and its as simple as the pat on the back you need as you reach inside yourself for the answer to the question, “What am I meant for?”

JENNYROSE JALIQUE
Jennyrose Jalique is a 2010 graduate of Saint Mary's College of California and a Billing Services Representative for the San Francisco Health Plan. She is also Meant4More Apparel’s accountant and social media specialist.

Jalique, 23, spends a lot of time at her church working with young people and loves outdoor adventures, reading, food, candy, and shopping. She was looking for ways to use her new degree when she learned M4M needed help. She shares the company’s philosophy but admitted it was thoughts of her grandfather, a loving, kind man battling Alzheimer’s disease and other health issues that urged her to say yes.

“Be somebody,” he told her recently, and affect someone’s life. Many are oblivious to the world’s truths, Jalique says. People are sick, starving, and cold and caught in human trafficking, depression, and worse. But the message of Meant4More is that life is special and each person has a unique purpose.

Love your neighbor as yourself is a challenging directive, and an important one, she says. To love others is to spread joy and hope. Jalique wonders about her unique purpose, knowing it isn’t limited to looking at numbers all day in a cubicle. M4M is the nearest thing yet to an answer, she says: “Knowing that somehow my work is making a difference makes me feel like I'm closer to my life's purpose.”

MARIA LOVOS
Maria Lovos is the vice president of Meant4More Apparel. She is also a hairstylist, a part-time student, and a volunteer with the M4M youth ministry, making a commitment to the growing business venture and its message that obstacles and hardships can be overcome.

Lovos, 28, knows from personal experience how important it is to stay strong, have hope, and keep true friends and loved ones close when times get tough. The death of a friend in middle school was wrenching at such a young age and she remembers not only the ache of loss, but the sudden understanding of how short life really is. Now memories of her friend remind Lovos to stay focused and to share happiness with others.

Lovos also wants to pay forward the help she received as a girl from a mentor and college professor who tutored her when she was struggling, not because he had to, but because he wanted to. His patience, motivation, and encouragement made a lifelong impression and showed Lovos her worth, and that she could reach any dream.

And that’s the message she’s working to get out there to those who need to hear it: “I want others to know that you can achieve your goals in life and make a difference in this world.”

PRIMO MARTINEZ
Primo Martinez, 38, is one of the co-founders of Meant4More Apparel, and its chief executive officer.

A Youth Minister in Cupertino, Calif., Martinez was inspired to create the company after feedback from customers who bought the original Logo shirt from his youth group showed its message was bringing about amazing changes in their lives.

Martinez formed a team of business partners who felt the same way as he did that clothing was the way to transmit the message that everyone can make a difference not only in their own lives, but in the lives of others. He values his faith, family, and friends and hopes the company’s work will encourage others to make an impact, too.

Martinez says he was largely led by his own experience where at one time he was tempted to give up on himself but friends and mentors not only reinforced their confidence in his worth, but that they would also never let him down.

He wants customers and others to grasp that same lifeline and to believe it with all their hearts. M4M’s commitment to sharing profits with other good causes is also meant to raise awareness, from efforts to prevent teen suicide to ending human trafficking. There is no limit to how far your own personal impact can reach if you just believe that you are meant for more, Martinez says.

KEVIN TOOMBS
Kevin Toombs, 24, is the assistant manager at the Petco Animal Supplies Store in Chico, Calif. He is also Meant4More Apparel’s chief strategic officer.

Toombs connected with this unique partnership through his friend, Andrew Bramley, who told him the team needed someone with a business degree to help the company take shape. M4M’s philosophy resonated with Toombs who got the support he needed to succeed from a family that believed in him. Now, he wants others to feel that same support, knowing there is something better out there for anyone who believes it, and works for it.

The M4M message motivates people to question the purpose of their lives, and in the process it will help save lives. Most life-changing in Toombs life has been his recent engagement to the woman he loves and the realization that he is in this life for more than just himself.

For Toombs, the greatest indication that the M4M message is being received, and acted upon, will be to walk down the street and see someone wearing the shirt. And in the process, If it changes a life, “we as a company have done our job.’’
